Now as a tot you may have loved all these shows or you might be sitting there going “love, hate, oh loved that, hate, hate, love, ehh it was olrite...” but one thing is for sure these shows are about to jog back some childhood memories – so get scrolling.
Oh, don't pay too much attention to the order. It's more of a list than a ranking.
15. Mathica’s Math Shop
Remember this 15 minute math session? Directed at primary school students, Mathica taught the principles of math, pausing every so often waiting for an answer from viewers. The show was produced from 1993-1994 but ran on repeat on ABC through the 90s.
14. Gogs
The 5 minute Gogs session, if you can remember this clay animation it's most likely because it was aired 5 minutes before the show you really enjoyed and you were simply there waiting. Kinda like Pingu. The show was created by a Welsh animation studio, but was received so well that it was eventually aired internationally.Meh. Production ran from 1993-1998.
13. The Book Place
I'm sure everyone remembers this Australian preschool TV series, namely because of the bookworm. Honestly, the worm used to scare me. It ran from 1991-2002, must admit its presence on Channel 7 is missed.
12. Where's Wally?
The Where's Wally TV show aired for one series, made up of 13 episodes it was produced from 1991-1992.
11. The Ferals
Okay, seriously who doesn't remember this show!? Surprisingly the series only ran for a year; 1994-1995, but ran on repeat for years. Some of the puppets continued to make an appearance on ABC. All I remember is the guy on the left hating on the Ferals (classic!), while the other dude played the peacemaker. Oh yeah and the Rat was great!
10. Crash Zone
Saturday mornings on Channel 7 was Crash Zone time. And what a great show it was. Remember the name Virgil Reality? Yep, he was the artificial intelligence the high-tech whiz kids used to talk to. The show aired from 1999-2001.
9. Art Attack
No art and craft show will ever trump this series. Presented by Neil Buchanan this guy took art and crafts to a level kids loved. The show ran from 1990 until 2007, when it was cancelled. It got picked up again several years later, but with a new host. Just no.
8. Goosebumps
If you were a true Goosebumps fan, then you probably have the book collection too? The show originally aired from 1995-1998. A Canadian production, it was immensely popular and one of two trendy TV horror children's series in the 90s (Are You Afraid of the Dark? was the other show).
7. Aaahh! Real Monsters
I still don't know what the attraction was with this show. But I thought it was a hoot. The comedy-horror American production focused on adolsecent monsters in training. Production ran from 1994-1997.
6. Rocko's Modern Life
Rocko's Modern Life was an American production. It followed the weird, surreal life of Rocko, an Australian-immigrant wallaby, and his new life in the city of O-Town. The show was produced from 1993-1996 and I did not know that good old Rocko was an Aussie!
5. Round the Twist
"Have you ever, ever felt like this..." yep, that famous opening and credits tune. This show was brilliant, with bizzare magical adventures always twisting the plot. Four series were made over the span of 1989-2001, but with cast changes.
4. Hey Arnold!
Who doesn't forget Football head? Now this was pure entertainment! More so than Arnold, we probably remember Helga best, aka the genious who dubbed him "Football Head." Of course, she was madly in love with him but played the old 'eww I hate you' game, ahh primary school romance. An American production, it was produced from 1996-2004.
3. Johnson and Friends
This show was crazy fun. If I remember correctly that hot water bottle character was always depressed!? It was an Australian production and was produced from 1993-1996, but ran on repeat on ABC until 2002.
2. The Angry Beavers
Remember these two wacky brothers? Yeah, you do! Original production of this American animation ran from 1997-2001.
1. Play School & Bananas in Pyjamas
Late 80s and 90s children should remember the original Play School tune and opening montage. Whether you liked Play School or not, there's no doubt you watched it at least once. win. It's an Australian production, running from 1966-present.
This 5 minute cartoon session was golden. It was simple and fun, B1 and B2. Sadly the show ended in 2013, but it's an Aussie production that we will always carry in our hearts. Production 1992-2013.
Alright, that's a wrap kids! #Bgood.
